Your role and responsibilities

At DTT you will work in a young and talented product team consisting of Web, iOS, Android and Unity developers. In two-week sprints you will work on a variety of projects ranging from cool start-up concepts or business critical solutions to fully-featured social media platforms and BLE connected apps. 

As a back-end developer at DTT you will participate in the entire application lifecycle of our projects. In this process, it's important that you write clean code, this entails that the code: 

  • Conforms to the PSR
  • Is written according to the SOLID principles.
  • Applies design patterns where applicable.

You will be supporting and supervising the junior back-end developers and you will regularly be in contact with developers from other departments to implement the API in a fitting manner. You will be given a lot of flexibility to accomplish your work successfully in this role. 

What are we looking for?

  • You have professional work experience as a back-end developer.
  • You have proven experience with PHP and MySQL. 
  • You have strong communication skills in English (verbal and writing).
  • You are familiar with the Agile concept and Scrum. 
  • You have an in-depth understanding of the entire web development process (from design, to development and deployment). 
  • You are able to proactively escalate issues that may impact scope, schedule or budget. 
  • You are a team player with the drive and a natural curiosity to push solutions forward, focused on continuous improvements are attributes that define yourself.
  • You have a BSc degree in Computer Science or a different relevant field. 
  • You have a Dutch visa or you’re already based in the Netherlands.
