Your internship at DTT

DTT works with international and domestic companies, such as KPMG, ING, HG, RIVM and others. We deliver apps for iOS, Androidhybrid apps and game apps. Working for such noteworthy companies sure affects our reputation and sheds a positive light on our image. Some clients can be very demanding and we are striving to meet their requirements on 100%. That's why we need hard working, qualified people who are ready for challenges and are keen on what they do. This concerns design in the first place.

What does a client want from the app or a website? He wants it to look good, to feel good and to function well. If we take the back end of the app or a website, then it's more like a back stage for a client - he doesn't see it, he doesn't know what is what there and he shouldn't be too picky about it, right? As long as it works good, it's fine. But when we talk about design - the question is a little bit more complicated.

When a client comes with his app idea, the first thing we do is make a concept design for him. To get the look and feel of the product. And here we should do our best to "win" him. Because if he doesn't like the design, what are the chances he will turn his back to us? That's why we make a lot of efforts to make a strong and convincing presentation. Here is the part where you play the star part. Creativity and fresh ideas are always welcome.

When you work at DTT as an intern, you don't work all by yourself. You have a team of more experienced designers, where you can learn and promote your ambitions. Your supervisers want you to acquire new skills and are always open to share their knowledge. You work and learn, advance and grow. It is something you will apply in your future career and perhaps become a superviser yourself.

While working and learning with us, you can expect the following activities:

  • analysing user experiences by setting tests up and execute tests;
  • setting up improvement plans;
  • actively contributing converse optimizing en generating leads;
  • driving developers and visual designers to make adjustments, based on your findings;
  • elaborate suggestions to prototypes and wireframes.

During your internship you will also learn how to work effectively in a team to achieve formidable results. Together with project managers, designers and developers you can create apps and websites that people will see worldwide. It is very inspiring from one hand and demanding from the other.

  • attention to details, creativity and result orientation;

Fiona Mirrer, Coordinator Marketing Communication

"For our most popular and best-known lottery scratch-card, December Calendar, we came up with the idea to develop a fun game that you can play both on the PC and on your phone. For this, we started looking for a multimedia partner and found DTT. Despite the short timetable, DTT has made a super game: the December Calendar game. This game, starring the penguins from the December Calendar 2014  lottery scratchcards, is based on an existing game and is intended as a free fun bonus. You can't win (money) prizes, but you can get the highest score! Communication was smooth, clear and fast and we could always turn to DTT if we had questions. DTT also thought actively with us on how we could generate more downloads and gave us good advice where necessary. In short, DTT has been an excellent partner. We will certainly continue working with DTT in future."
